Clean Energy, Climate Change and Sustainable Development

Camco has worked on the African continent for over 20 years. We provide strategic, policy, commercial and technical expertise, accrued over two decades, to deliver low carbon and sustainable development solutions.

We have an outstanding track record in Sub-Saharan Africa, working with local industry, multinational companies, communities, governments and regulatory bodies. The experience of our African advisory team spans rural energy solutions, energy and climate policy, climate finance, land use and forestry, carbon management, greenhouse gas emissions assessments and clean energy project delivery.

Camco is a key player in the African region, having supported the development of energy and climate change policies, strategies and programmes for national and local governments, including Botswana, Kenya, Malawi, Namibia, Rwanda, South Africa, Swaziland, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

We work with the private and public sector and communities on a range of climate change initiatives, from mitigation through to adaptation, including the development of both Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) and Verified Emission Reduction (VER) projects.

We assist companies in responding to climate change, calculating and reducing their carbon footprint, identifying emission reduction opportunities, supporting sustainable offsetting strategies, and assessing the implications of carbon pricing for their local and international businesses.
